“Forever Loving Jah” is from Uprising, released in 1980, only a year before Bob Marley died.
Perhaps as a result of Bob Marley’s reflections on mortality, the album is deeply saturated with religious themes, expressing his strongly held Rastafari beliefs.
“Forever Loving Jah” is a hopeful sort of tune, a joyous celebration of God and life. The song is a typical song for the late Wailers, with a polished feel, back up singers on the chorus, and a funky sound.
I particularly like the beeping melody that kicks in in the choruses!
