‘Count Me Out’ explores growth – specifically Kendrick’s growth beyond someone else, and his pride in proving them wrong.
And of all the songs on the album, this, for me, is the catchiest. The production is rich and ominous. It carries you along. But still, it showcases a range of styles, from the soft, choral beginning to the rabble rousing end.
