Agent Orange were a slight oddity as they blended laid back surf rock with the explosive energy of hardcore punk. You can especially hear the surf influences in the distinctive skipping drums and echoing backing vocals.
The lyrics are classic punk, railing against authority. The guitar riffs are fast, aggressive, but catchy.
Living In Darkness was the band’s debut album. Released in 1981, it added to the wave of Californian skate punk.
